We're looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our team building AI-powered document processing and analysis solutions. In this learning-focused role, you'll assist with implementing features for our document processing systems and gain hands-on experience with different Natural Language Processing, Document Classification and OCR tasks, just to name a few.
We value enthusiasm and willingness to learn over specialized expertise. You'll join us at an exciting time, as we need our backend to scale, giving you the opportunity to learn modern system design and machine learning operations firsthand. Our platform uses various machine learning models to extract insights from documents, providing you with valuable exposure to practical AI applications in a business context.
A peek at our technical stack
Our document processing pipelines are built using Python and Golang paired with PostgreSQL for robust document metadata storage and retrieval. For ML operations, we rely on PyTorch paired with different libraries and models optimized for both CPU and GPU. What sets us apart is our dedicated hardware infrastructure, including state-of-the-art NVIDIA H100 GPUs housed in our private datacenter in Feldkirch. We use Kubernetes for container orchestration and Argo CD for continuous delivery.
What you’ll do
- Assist in implementing backend features for document processing under guidance
- Support the creation of new document processing services with mentorship from senior engineers
- Help with testing and implementing fine-tuned models for specific use cases
- Learn about system performance, reliability, and security while strengthening your coding skills
This role is based in Götzis, Vorarlberg. While we embrace remote work and home-office options, we value the creative energy and collaborative problem-solving that happens when our team connects in person, especially during this exciting early stage of our company. Regular office interactions help us innovate faster and build stronger working relationships.
RequirementsWhat you’ll need
- 0-2 years of programming experience (professional or academic)
- Knowledge of at least one programming language, preferably Python
- Basic understanding of software development principles
- Eagerness to learn and strengthen your coding skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and accept feedback
- Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Humility and open mindedness
